I fell in love with henna in 1996.  I’ve been in love ever since, dedicating my adult life to this art form.  With a humble heart, I share my passion for this amazing plant.  I love teaching and adorning everyone and everything. This plant has filled my life with amazing people and experiences.  I’m honored to share some of that with you!

Jo Kucala

I first stumbled into henna in 2008 as a teenager and played around with it until I was pregnant with my first son when looking for a way to celebrating this shift in life. It was then became introduced into the local henna community through Polar Sling Conferences. I became completely captivated with learning everything about henna and all of the cultures linked to it. Since then I've steadily built my business and skills while parenting my young children and adding on new trades just about every year. Henna, hiking, watercolor, birth and postpartum work, craniosacral therapy, and facepaint are just a few of my passions! Community and feminine empowerment are what continue to drive me today and am well-known for my unique style and speed in my henna designs. I am eternally grateful for where this plant has brought me and am ecstatic to be apart of the coordinating team to help encourage and grow that passion within others!
